The European Advanced SDG Awards – Excellence in the Implementation
of the SDGs-Program is an initiative of NEW WAYS Center for Sustainable Development Vienna/Austria aimed at fostering the implementation of the UN SDGs by awarding frontrunners in the respective fields. It is the first European SDG-Award Program launched in May 2018. The European Advanced SDG Award represents recognition for companies or institutions from European countries that have internalized the spirit of the SDGs in their entire business philosophy and action and thus have already made a notable contribution to the realization and accomplishment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. As such these hidden champions may serve as models for economy and society and shall be presented to a wider public in order to create further positive momentum. The ceremony of the second edition of this award will take place at the Diplomatic Academy Vienna, Austria, on 24th of August 2020.
We believe each person or company can make a contribution to sustainable development and can thus define its future, and change the world.
Our Mission
To promote companies and institutions that are leaders in their respective fields in the implementation of the UN SDGs and thus pave the way for a successful transformation to a more prosper and sustainable world.
Our Vision
The implementation of the UN SDGs can only be accomplished in cooperation with all stakeholders.
Each person, each company and each institution is therefore responsible to make an according contribution. The Award honours outstanding achievements.
